State-Specific Addendum.

This addendum is intended to reduce overreach and preserve mandatory rights for alpha testers, especially in California, Washington, Oregon, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and military populations living anywhere. It is not a complete legal memo and must be reviewed by counsel.

CaliforniaNo non-compete. NDA protects Confidential Information and trade secrets only. It does not restrict lawful employment, ordinary competition, skills, experience, or legally protected rights. California privacy / medical-information rights are not waived.
WashingtonConsumer health data should be treated conservatively under Washington My Health My Data Act concepts. Provide separate health-data privacy notice, consent, deletion rights, no sale of consumer health data, and no geofencing / targeted ads based on health data.
OregonOregon Consumer Privacy Act rights may apply depending on thresholds and processing. Fursan should voluntarily support access, deletion, correction, opt-out, and sensitive-data controls where practical.
New JerseyNew Jersey Data Privacy Law took effect in 2025. Fursan should prepare controller / processor notices, access / deletion / correction / opt-out workflows, and sensitive-data consent alignment where thresholds apply.
PennsylvaniaPennsylvania should be treated under general contract, privacy, consumer protection, breach notification, and voluntary privacy-rights practices unless / until comprehensive privacy law applies.
Military members anywhereUse the Military Rider. Participation is personal capacity only. No official endorsement, no official systems, no CUI / classified / OPSEC-sensitive data, no official procurement commitments.

No non-compete; no employment restraint

Nothing in any Fursan alpha document is intended to prevent Tester from working for another company, starting another business, using general skills and experience, or engaging in lawful competition. The restrictions apply to Company Confidential Information, trade secrets, product access, screenshots, private demos, private workflows, feedback, and other protected information.

Mandatory rights preserved

Nothing in any Fursan alpha document limits rights that cannot be limited by contract, including lawful whistleblowing, reporting to government agencies, responding to valid legal process, exercising privacy rights, labor rights, military rights, consumer rights, or other protected rights.
